OURSPACE

Where is your space? A place that you go to often. A space that you love, or hate. A place of memories. A space of secrets. A place of safety. We invite you to join us, explore Ourspace and discover a topsy turvy, back to front and upside down world. Sometimes the ordinary can seem extraordinary.
'Ourspace' is a series of short films, made and produced by interCre8 in collaboration with Minehead Youth Theatre. Ourspace combines spoken word and moving image with an original digital score, composed by Somerset based music artist Mog Hartley. The films explore places and spaces in West Somerset that have a story to tell, by young people that want to tell their stories. Ourspace has evolved from creative writing/physical theatre/ voice workshops run by interCre8, focusing on the participant's connections to spaces in and around Minehead, Somerset.
The films were shot by interCre8 and Minehead youth theatre on location, then edited and produced by the young people and interCre8 with support from The Engine Room, Bridgwater.
